Haley Arroyo, Kennel Assistant

After graduating from HS (West Winfield), Haley attended the Rochester Institute of Dog Grooming, where she received her certification. Her love of animals led her to VVA to add to her animal care experience. At home she has 2 mixed-breed dogs (Groot and Velma), and a pet rat. She also enjoys camping, and spending time with her family.

Mary Beggs, Kennel Assistant

Mary Beggs moved to our area from her New Orleans home many years ago. She graduated from SUNY Delhi with a business degree. Her love of animals led her to work over 5 years at an animal shelter before coming to VVA in the fall of 2019. At home, her pets include llamas and 5 dogs. She also enjoys photography, bicycling, and outdoor activities such as hiking.

Emily Berrios, Veterinary Technician

After graduating from Oneonta High School, Emily continued her education at SUNY-Canton where she obtained a degree in Veterinary Technology. She joined VVA in May of 2020, where she hopes to increase her experience in large-animal care. When she’s not at VVA, Emily spends time caring for her two chihuahuas and 3 cats. She is looking forward to continuing her education in animal care by pursuing her D.V.M. degree.


Mary Clarson, LVT

After completing an internship at VVA and graduating from SUNY Delhi, Mary joined the practice as a licensed veterinary technician in 2010. She was promoted to Supervising Technician in 2013. She enjoys rehabilitating wildlife, especially crows. She and her boyfriend rescued two adorable pit bulls named Spoogles and Snicklefritz.

Karli Conpropst, Veterinary Assistant

Karli attended SUNY-Morrisville where she excelled in the Equine Science & Management program. She has over 10 years of large-animal experience, as well as knowledge of companion animals and smaller farm animals. While at Morrisville, Karli met Olympic gold-medalist Beezie Madden (equestrian show jumping), and worked for her as a show groom, while gaining Manager/Trainer experience. Karli lives in Wells Bridge, on a small farm with her quarter-horse(Allie), her dogs Louie & Dozer, and her pet cow Beau.

Amy Constable,  Veterinary Technician

Amy graduated from SUNY Delhi’s veterinary technology program prior to starting at VVA. She joined our practice in 2000 and worked as a technician for 10 years. After leaving for a few years, she returned in 2014 as a technician and a Supervising Technician. She is passionate about working with all animals, especially cats and dogs. She has 3 children and 7 pets to keep her busy at home. She also enjoys gardening, cooking and taking walks.


Karen Crawford, Veterinary Assistant, Kennel Staff

We have known Karen for years as she was once the manager of the Delaware Valley Humane Society. She has joined our team in 2015 and continues to help all of our feline and canine patients. Her knowledge of animal behavior is a great asset to the practice. She and her husband Dennis enjoy bluegrass music festivals and visiting her family, including some adorable grandchildren.

Raquel Doig, LVT

Raquel earned her degree from SUNY Delhi and joined our practice in 2005. She was promoted to Supervising Technician in 2008 and is our top phlebotomist.  She is passionate about large animal and wildlife medicine. She and her two children, Kyle and Grace, enjoy vacationing on Chincoteague Island in the summer months.

Lindsay Dumond, Kennel Staff

Lindsay has been involved in the veterinary profession for many years. She joined the VVA team in 2016 as a member of our kennel staff. Lindsay is a huge animal lover! Her personal pets include her dog, Harlequin, and three kitties. In her free time she enjoys camping, bonfires, and concerts.

 Eva Gray

Eva Gray, LVT

Eva developed her interest in animal care while working at Dr. Davis’ Milfer Farm.  She has graduated from SUNY Delhi after completing her education as a Licensed Vet. Tech. She hopes to pursue her interest in horse massage therapy.  She enjoys hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities, including horseback riding.

 Susan Green[Forsyth]

Susan Green, Veterinary Assistant

Susan’s broad experience in animal care will prove to be an asset to Valley Veterinary Associates.  She has fulfilled job responsibilities ranging from veterinary technician to office manager in the course of her career.   She lives in Endwell, on a 3rd-generation family farm.  She has 3 children and 1 granddaughter.Her interest in horses led her to participate in barrel racing for a time. These days, though, she enjoys quiet rides on the trail with her quarter horses. For over 17 years, she has raised show-class rat terriers, though she no longer participates in shows. In addition to the chickens and pygmy goats on her homestead, she raises and shows Jersey Wooly rabbits on a local and national level.

Pam Kent, Kennel Staff, Client Services

Pam joined the practice in early 2014 but has been part of the veterinary community for many years. Previously, she has worked at the Binghamton Zoo and the Chenango County ASPCA and continues as a board member of All Animals Matter, an organization that helps spay/neuter cats and dogs. To keep her busy at home, Pam has a menagerie of horses, dogs, cats, and birds.


Trish Kershner,  Veterinary Assistant, Kennel Staff

Originally from California, Trish joined the VVA team in 2007. She is passionate about canine behavior and has remains one of our top canine handlers here at the clinic. In the warmer months, Trish enjoys attending music festivals and hiking with friends.


Dawn Leizear, Financial Manager

Dawn joined our practice in May 2011 to manage finances and staff. She and her husband reside in Unadilla with three dogs that they spoil rotten. She enjoys spending time with family, friends, and grandchildren. Dawn always offers a warm “Good Morning!” and is our shoulder to cry on when someone has had a difficult day.

Brittany Logan, Veterinary Assistant

Brittany is a recent graduate of Alfred University and holds a degree in Agricultural Technology. She is working on becoming a Licensed Vet. Tech. and hopes to pursue her interest in working with exotic animals. She enjoys kayaking and spending time with her rescue-dog, a pit-mix named Heinekin. When asked, she revealed she prefers cows to horses.

Amy Manzo, Kennel Assistant

In addition to her cosmetology license, Amy has a certification as a Dog Trainer/Handler/Caregiver through the Animal Behavior College (Santa Clarita, CA). She lives in Binghamton, where she has worked as an animal rescue volunteer for over 12 years. Her canine companions are Leonard, an English bull terrier, and Sumi, a border collie mix. Both are rescue animals. She is particularly proud of her volunteer work in relocating ‘un-adoptable’ animals to permanent homes.


Kim Petrie,  Veterinary Assistant

Kim came to VVA in September 2008 after relocating from Long Island, NY where she previously worked at an emergency clinic. She is a familiar face at our front desk and in exam rooms, helping our doctors to examine patients. She has two boys, enjoys gardening and cooking at home.

Erica Ressel, LVT, Office Manager

After graduating from SUNY Delhi in 2009, Erica started at VVA as a licensed technician. She was soon promoted to a Supervising Technician in 2011. She manages our inventory system at the clinic, and became Office Manager in 2016. She enjoys emergency medicine and can often be found tending to patients late into the night. At home, Erica has a Doberman named Denali and an American Bulldog, Diesel.


Meghan Scofield, LVT, BS

Meghan joined the VVA team as a licensed veterinary technician in 2009. She graduated in 2007 from SUNY Delhi with her Associates in Veterinary Science and Bachelors in Veterinary Management. She enjoys working with all animals and educating pet owners on the best care for their companions. She lives with her husband Eric, children Noah and Paisley, and their tennis ball obsessed Border Collie Cammie and Lily the cat.


Jessica SteeleVeterinary Technician

When Jessie first came to VVA in 1999, she was a young volunteer. She remained at VVA while completing her associate’s degree (SUNY Delhi – 2008). Today, she works as a Supervising Technician. In her spare time, Jessie enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She also has a variety of dogs and cats at home that help entertain her kids.

 Melody Youngs

Melody Youngs, LVT

Melody is a 2015 graduate of the SUNY Delhi LVT program.  In 2017, she joined the VVA staff and quickly became a valued team member.  In her off-time, she enjoys outdoor activities, and spends time tending her 3 horses, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and assorted chickens, sheep, and goats. She especially enjoys riding and showing her horses.
